I am a hard working and fun loving guy. I have worked Hard for everything I have and I like nice things. I am a retired RN and English Comp. Teacher. I taught English in the Republic of the Philippines from 2006-2014.I can be comfortable in a dinner jacket; fine dining before or after a Broadway show.I love Harper Lee's " To Kill a Mockingbird". I am just as comfortable in a sweat shirt, beat up jeans and flip flops sitting around a camp fire making s'mores and popped corn with a frosty beer or a 12 pack to share before turning in.
I don't smoke,however I do not mind if my companion does. I am a former smoker, so if I have indulged in one too many glasses of Chablis or a good martini I have been known to break down and have a cigarette until I turn green.
I am not too much into the bar scene; Although I love to dance so an occasional night out is good. Dinner, dancing and drinks.Is a good thing in moderation. ( I am not dead...., Just retired.)
I am a confessed Chritmasholic! Deck those halls as the Thanksgiving Turkey is going into the oven.i love entertaining at home; A simple wine , cheese and fruit platter, don't forget the figs and prosciutto. Or a dinner party complete with place cards, Hyacinth Bucket style.I love Britcoms ,Downtown Abbey ,and Call the midwives.
While I'm on the subject of television; Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck..., The entire Looney Tunes line up is for me.I cam a big "Flintstones". fan as well.
I'm a liberal at heart, but find myself drifting more toward the conservative camp. I like to leave politics out of the picture. But, I know the topic will eventually come up so let's put it on the table.
I am looking for a guy who isn't afraid to date, build up a relationship, and eventually commit. I am old fashioned. Please do not hold that against me. I am honest to a fault,and loyal like a puppy. You can take that to the bank..... Nicholas
